Description
Cinnamon is best used as a culinary spice. While it has a long history of traditional use and contains interesting plant compounds, culinary cinnamon should not be presented as a treatment or cure for medical conditions.
Different cinnamon varieties can also contain different amounts of coumarin, a naturally occurring compound. Regularly consuming large amounts of cinnamon or concentrated cinnamon products may not be appropriate for everyone. Normal culinary quantities are generally much smaller.
The Balanzing Thought
From the misty hills of Wayanad to kitchens across India, cinnamon adds a beautiful combination of warmth, sweetness and fragrance. Its versatility makes it equally at home in a cup of tea, a fragrant biryani or a traditional dessert.
